Well, it looks like JT.net got off his butt and fixed his blog. Finally. He also got the OldNole back up and running.
I’m glad JT.net is back but I am thoroughly disappointed with his first effort. My personal pet peave; lame blog posting of song lyrics. Ugh.
Well, I’m sure he’ll do better in the fuure and let’s hope that he stays around for a while.

Didn’t want to spill the beans on the net because my Sister-in-Law Cheryl comes and reads my site but Dawn and I came to West Palm this weekend to surprise her for her birthday. Todd was able to keep our plans from her for weeks and we totally caught her offguard at a local bar and she started crying. It was awesome!
Happy Birthday, Cheryl!

My sister-in-law just made me a kick-ass quesadilla dinner to start off my birthday weekend. Word!
Thanks, Trace!

A couple months ago I started playing hockey again after a six month sabbatical due to a broken finger I received trying to catch a scud missle. Anyway, we’ve been on a tear lately.
After the first game where we got knocked around 12 – 8, we’ve gone 4-1-1 (I didn’t make the one game in which we tied) with our only loss a close 3-2 game. We still have some makeup games left but we’re in pretty good position for a good playoff seeding. The great thing is our Goals Against Average has really kicked butt. In the five games I played since the first, it’s at a stellar 3.4 goals per game. This brings our season total down to a respectable 5.14. After giving up 12 goals in the first game, we did a great job getting it down that low.
So, good job guys! Congratulations on a good season so far. Let’s win it all!

For me, when I go around looking at people’s blogs or work or other companies software and success, I start to notice just how many people there are out there who are way more talented than I am. It can really be daunting to think you’re competing against them. I guess you just keep plugging.

Ya see, I want a new plan. A few years back I needed to replace a broken phone. Both companies (they’re different vendors) tell me that I need to sign up for a two-year plan to get the good deal. Hmmm, why? I’ve been with you for years and I’ve been a good customer why do I have to sign in blood? That’s crazy.
When they do that I now start looking at other companies to see who has the best deal and I don’t feel any loyalty especially since I can take my number with me. Why should I stay with you? Give me a reason! How about, “Oh yes, Mr. wysiblog, you can change to the new plan no problem. Have a nice day!” That would have been so easy and not cost them a thing but nope they had to try and force me to sign up for two more years. While I’m deciding, I’m looking at other companies and they will probably lose my business.
Why can’t companies start treating existing customers well. They’re easier to keep than it is to get new guys and if you treat them great, they’ll tell everyone and then you’ll get more customers. Wow, that was rocket-science, huh?
Oh yeah, the companies in question were Sprint PCS(my current company) and Alltel (the stupid jerks who lost my business originally because they expected me to pay $400 for a phone.)

So, back a couple of months ago, I signed up for some online presentations about .NET components and for doing so Microsoft sent me some cool goodies in the mail.
They sent me a fully functional licensed version of VB.NET, including Studio.NET, the MSDN Library and a full copy of Windows 2000. Along with that, I got a cool book from Microsoft Press on ASP.NET Coding Strategies.
All because I watched a few online seminars…

Well, at least to myself, I’ve sorted of doubted the Patriots ability to make it to the Super Bowl. Well, what the hell was I thinking? I’ve always loved the Patriots but let’s be honest, when I was growing up as a fan of theirs I never doubted that they wouldn’t blow the big game. Now, it’s weird to think that they are the team to beat. At least I’m prepared if it goes the other way.
The Patriots again proved they’re the team to beat with a convincing win at Pittsburgh. Also, as an NC State fan, it’s hard to be a fan of a front runner. I feel dirty…almost like a Carolina fan.

Ok, jt.net has been down for a few days now and I know that he has had some issues with drives and so forth. But, please come back. We love your site and want you back. Do something to make that happen soon, would you?
