Just wanted to post a quick hey to everyone and hope they had a good Memorial Day.
I went to my Brother’s in Charlotte and spent time with my niece and nephew. They’ve really grown up quite a bit and it was really good to see them.
We went to a big shindig on Friday where a band was playing and on Saturday we went to a Charlotte Knights game where Frank Thomas hit a three run homer. He was undergoing rehabilitation for an injury and was assigned to the AAA affiliate while healing up.
We also watched the US lose to England in a friendly soccer match.
On Sunday, the events continued with a trip to the movie theater to see Star Wars. It had some great action scenes but in places the dialog was horrible. It was a fun movie all in all.
Cheers!

According to this article, researchers have found that wearing red is consistent with a higher probability of winning.
Yeah, tell that to us NC State fans…
Thanks to Tracermate for the link!

It looks like the trends in outsourcing are starting to slow down and companies are seeing that there really isn’t much of a cost savings. ZDNet has a short article on the data they’re starting to see.

Now I know what you’re thinking but this is really about a cat…a cat who’s owner was awarded $45k from it’s demise at the jaws of a neighboring dog. Poor kitty…

There’s a been a whole lot of hoopla about steroids in sports. Most of the people claim that steroids are cheating because they give an unfair advantage. Well, now there are contacts that will help you hit pitches. How is this not cheating? What’s the difference?
Athletes will find new ways to get an edge so why the focus on steroids? I guess it just makes the powers-that-be feel good…
