welcome…

And you know who you are!

I’d especially like to give a huge shout out to Shelley. You rock, girl! Not!

Ok, so you have that neet Darth Vader poster from the first movie. You know the one I’m talking about. Luke with phallic looking light saber standing over princess Leia and Darth loomin’ in the background. And since that movie, you’ve dreamed of becoming a Jedi Knight. Well, now you can thanks to the Universal Life Church Monastery.

It actually makes sense that a monastery is handing these out. Doesn’t liking Star Wars guarantee no sex from women?

Well, the Hurricanes beat the New Jersey Devils 3-2 in OT. They were tied 1-1 when the Devils scored with 20 seconds left and everyone thought it was over. Well, with only 3.7 left on the clock Eric Staal tied it up to allow Nic Wallin score the overtime goal. Think about this Wallin has 3 OT game winning goals and Gretzky has none. Hmmm….

Some thought about the Canes:
- Cam Ward is getting a lot of credit, and rightfully so, but the defense has been stellar in front of him. Kaberle is especially starting to play some good solid D to go with his offensive ability.
- Recchi really deserved the goal in the 2nd. He had been hustling and grinding all night. It’s great to see a guy rewarded for his effort.
- Sometimes I wish Kevin Adams had a true scoring touch. He’d be a top player if he did…
- What’s up with Rod? He’s not playing that great except for face offs and I’ve noticed quite a few turnovers by him in the defensive end.

So, the Carolina Hurricanes went to 2-0 to the Montreal Canadiens and “stormed” back (sorry…) to win the series in six games.

Everybody’s talkin’ about the rookie goaltender being the big story, which I agree with, but I think if it wasn’t for Rod Brind’Amour this series would have been over long ago. He’s the only guy winning face-offs, he’s scoring goals and playing defense. He’s all over the ice and he kicks butt!

Here’s to you Roddy!
