So, according to a post on livescience Deep-Voiced Men Have More Kids. Something about women that they find the lower voice more attractive and more masculine giving men blessed with Barry White’s vocal skills more reproductive success meaning more kids.
Well, I got a deep voice so you think I’d have some kids by now…but no! Actually, I think the title is misleading. What they really mean to say is that men with lower voices have more sex which isn’t exactly the same thing. But again…I’m the exception!
I guess I just need to learn how to parlay my mellow baritone into more *eh hem* reproductive success *eh hem*
I think I’ll do my own experiment with this. I’ll keep my loyal readers updated on the results!

So, I had to drop off my car this morning for some repair work. That story will come later! Anyway, I didn’t get a rental. My goal is to go the week without a car. That means bus, cab and foot is the way to go. If I can, I’ll grab a ride from someone else but I’ll avoid that if possible.
I’m lucky in that I have a direct bus route from my condo to my work. So I should be able to handle this.
How many others have really done this in Raleigh?

yep, that’s right…I’m a hero! As most of you know, I’m riding in the MS 150 this weekend in New Bern, NC. When I signed up, I decided to ride for a Champion. Champions are paired with riders to help spread awareness and offer encouragement.
Well, yesterday I received a letter from my Champion Stacy. She’s got a husband and two kids and lives in Cary. She told me that the MS Society helps her everyday and that she’s thankful for what I’m doing and the money I’ve raised. She then said I was her hero!
Now, I’m not gonna confirm it but the rumor mill has it (probably Brooklyn spreading her gossip) that I might have teared up a little when I read that. Maybe…just a little.
Anyway, if you get a chance go out to the MS Society page and learn about how they serve and check out my participant page and see my fundraising efforts. I’ve made my goal but I want to keep getting more because I know that’s important in at least one person’s life!

This weekend I had to get out and ride in preparation for the MS 150 that takes place next weekend.
On Sunday, I decided to do a group ride down at Cycling Spoken Here shop. It was a great ride with a real nice bunch of folks. We went 35 miles and averaged about 18.5. Not Bad! I was a bit nervous considering last weeks accident but I made it through without any problems and was relieved to finish.
On Monday, I gathered some friends and we did a cool little ride starting out of City Market in downtown Raleigh that goes to a cute coffee shop in downtown Clayton. Then you turn around and come back! I did 40 miles that day…
I have to get one more training day in before next weekend to feel somewhat comfortable about the ride. I need a decently long one like 50 miles or so. Anyone up for it?
