So, I was at the annual Xmas party with friends when I had a discussion with JT.net about the new Zune. He, of course, laughed it off as there was nothing of consequence. Is there REALLY any other brand of PMP out there than the iPod and its horde of siblings? Well, according to reviews at many of the media outlets, it looks like at the very least the Zune is comparable to the iPod. Here’s a link from an apple news site called macNN.
First off, I own a iPod Nano. I think its fine. I have software problems with it all the time but hey, I can get through that. Also, I’ve had two other iPods in the last 4 years and they both died on me after warranty. I know, anecdotal and that’s true but that doesn’t change the fact that because of those problems I’m not open to other possibilities. With that, I’m not sure I’ll be getting a Zune but I think its great for the marketplace because maybe Apple will bring more innovations or lower the price and maybe both!
Something else bothers me though…it seems that Mac Zealots are turning into the people that they hated. Namely, Windows Zealots!
