August 2008

Yep, that’s right….you heard it first. Eric, Jamie, Steve and myself are (sorta) reforming our old band “The Fishermen”. Hmm, maybe we should get a new name!

We’re gonna get together a few times and write some new stuff and maybe play a venue or two. You never know! I personally would rather do some recordings first but I think we’ll do that too.

I’ll keep you posted on the status. I know some of you will be psyched!

Scott

Bia and Branca…

you can see more of them here. And really, who DOESN’T want to see more of them!

Most of you know that I use gmail as my main email account. One of the great things about it is some of the little features that may or may not be so well known.

One of them that I find useful is the way you can append info to your email address using the ‘+’ sign. For example, you could send an email to someone like this myname+thisissomeinfo@gmail.com and if someone replease to your email it will come right to your inbox. Gmail accepts this and passes it through to the right account.

So, you’re asking how is this useful for tracking spammers? Well, all you got to do is whenever you go to a site that requires your email address (isn’t that friggin’ annoying?!?!?) and you just have to get that download of 5 girls and 28 cups, just type in your email address + the sitename or a code for the sitename: For example, let’s say my email address is happyblogger@gmail.com and I have to get a download at iTunes, I might type my email in like this happyblogger+stevejobsisanarrogantass@gmail.com and now I know that if I ever have a spammer using that address that stupid friggin’ Apple sold my email!! The nerve of them!

Anyway, if you’d like to know more about their features for gmail, head over to the Official Gmail Blog. Tell ‘em I sent ya!
